Pigeon Telephone customers in Alba & Lakes of the North Exchanges experienced a temporary service interruption on Saturday, June 2, 2007 from 7:19 pm to 9:25 pm due to a disconnection of the OC192 optical link to the Traverse City Tandem connection through AT&T.

Customers in these exchanges were able to make calls to 911, local (intra-exchange) calls as well as calls to Gaylord and Grayling.  The service interruption affected long distance service both in and out of the Pigeon Telephone Exchanges.
