The Federal Universal Service Charge (FUSC) surcharge Factor recovers the costs associated with Pigeon Telephone Company contributions to the federal universal service fund program.  Effective May 1, 2007 there has been an increase in this charge from 9.7% to 11.7%

Pigeon Telephone is happy to announce that we are now able to expand our local calling areas in all three exchanges. On October 6, 2004, the MPSC granted the ability to expand the local calling areas.

In the Pigeon exchange, our customers can now make a local call to Bad Axe, Bay Port, Caseville, Cass City, Elkton, Gagetown, Kinde, Owendale, Pigeon, Port Austin, Sebewaing, and Unionville.

The Twining exchange can make local calls to Au Gres, East Tawas, Omer, Prescott, and Whittemore.

The Lakes of the North exchange can make local calls to Alba, Mancelona, Gaylord, Grayling and Manistee River. Finally, the Alba exchange can make local calls to Bellaire, East Jordan, Elmira, Lakes of the North, Mancelona, and Gaylord.
